What Wireless network Should I connect to?
If you are a staff member and want to connect to the district wifi, follow the steps below:
1. There are two WiFi networks administered by the district.
GAPS-Private
GAPS-Public
2. GAPS-Private is the one you want to use. You will need to connect to GAPS-Private using your computer username and password. NOT to be confused with your email address and password. :) This network will give you the same sort of internet access and privileges as you would have on your desktop workstation.
GAPS-Public is intended for visitor use. Therefore, it is set to the most restrictive level of access. ALSO, the connection to GAPS-Public will be reset on a regular basis.

Where should I save my FIles?
We recommend that you use Google Drive for file creation and storage. If you choose to use Microsoft Office or other products for file creation, save these files to your Google Drive or P:// drive.
See the following document on how to access your P: drive.
Do not save any file to your C:/ drive or computer desktop that you are not willing to lose permanently in the event of a hard drive crash.
What about the S: drive?
The S: drive is very much like your P: drive, with one distinct difference. The P: drive is for your personal files, while the S: drive is for shared files. If you would like to share something across schools or classes, the S: drive is what you want to use. Or you could just use Google drive and make it that much simpler. :)

Projector Tips
What can I do to help my projector lamp last longer?
There are several things you can do to increase your lamp life. Do not allow the projector to become overheated by ensuring that there is adequate clearance near the intake and exhaust vents.
Clean air filters every 3 months or more often if there is a lot of dust or contaminants in the room.
Light up your projector when you're ready to use it and avoid frequent on and offs.
Avoid shock to the lamp or projector.
If your projector has this feature, Use "Lamp Economy Mode" to lengthen the life of the lamp by reducing its brightness. In most cases you will get a 50% increase in lamp life with a 20% reduction in brightness and you will not likely notice the reduced lumen output.
Allow the projector fan to turn off after you power down and before you unplug the projector. The only exception to this is a projector that is designed to keep the fan turning for a brief period after removing power.
